Evaluation Readiness Consultation (Free) — Up to 30 Minutes
Guidance to help determine whether a neuropsychological evaluation may be helpful
A complimentary initial phone consultation is offered for families considering a neuropsychological evaluation. This call provides an opportunity to discuss concerns, review relevant developmental, medical, and educational history, and determine whether a comprehensive evaluation or another type of support may be appropriate. Families may ask questions about the evaluation process, what kinds of answers an evaluation can provide, and expected timelines. This conversation is informational and supportive and is not a clinical evaluation, diagnosis, or therapy session.
Time: Up to 30 minutes. Additional time or follow-up beyond 30 minutes, if requested, is billed at the hourly rate.
Comprehensive Neuropsychological Evaluation (Ages 5 Years and Older)
Comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations are designed to help families better understand their child's learning, thinking, emotional, behavioral, and social functioning across settings. Evaluations aim to clarify diagnoses, identify strengths and areas of challenge, and provide individualized, practical recommendations to support home, school, and therapeutic planning.
Time commitment typically includes:
- Parent and child interview: approximately 45–90 minutes
- Teacher interview, when appropriate: up to 45 minutes
- Direct testing: approximately 4–7 hours, tailored to the referral questions and the child's developmental level
- Scoring, interpretation, and preparation of a comprehensive written report
- Family feedback session to review findings and recommendations: approximately 60–90 minutes
- Follow-up consultation with the child's school, when appropriate: up to 45 minutes
Early Childhood / Neurodevelopmental Evaluation (Ages 4 Years and Younger)
Early childhood and neurodevelopmental evaluations focus on understanding a young child's development across cognition, communication, motor skills, play, social interaction, emotional regulation, behavior, and adaptive functioning. These evaluations support early identification of developmental differences, guide early intervention and preschool planning, and help families make informed decisions during a critical period of development.
Time commitment typically includes:
- Parent and child interview: approximately 45–90 minutes
- Teacher or early childcare provider interview, when appropriate: up to 45 minutes
- Direct testing: approximately 2–4 hours, tailored to the child's developmental level and referral questions
- Scoring, interpretation, and preparation of a comprehensive written report
- Family feedback session to review findings and recommendations: approximately 60–90 minutes
- Follow-up consultation with the child's school, when appropriate: up to 45 minutes
Neuropsychological services are time-intensive and highly individualized. Fees reflect not only face-to-face testing time, but also careful preparation, individualized test selection, detailed scoring and interpretation, integration of results across domains, comprehensive report writing, and time devoted to feedback and consultation. Evaluations are conducted using a thorough, unrushed approach to ensure findings and recommendations are accurate, meaningful, and directly applicable to each child's unique needs. Additional time, documentation, or follow-up outside of what is included in the evaluation packages may be billed at an hourly rate ($250/hr), with advance discussion whenever possible.
